It’s been an amazing couple of days for our team at the New Zealand Secondary School Swimming Championships in Hamilton – with Kaia Swiggs bringing home a silver medal and Rebecca Wilkins winning two bronze.

Daria Barbino only narrow missed out on the medals – and the trio all achieved personal bests.��

13 Girls 200 metre Breaststroke��
Kaia Swiggs (9WHN) 2nd, 2:50.72. Kaia’s silver medal swim was 6 seconds faster than her seeding time, and a huge personal best.��

14 Girls 200 metre Breaststroke
Rebecca Wilkins (10HRG) 3rd, 2:36.80 – winning her a bronze medal. Her time was 2 seconds faster than her seeding time, and a personal best.
Daria Barbina (10KAY) 4th, 2:37:80 – also 2 seconds faster than her seeding time, and a personal best.

Rebecca 5th, 1:09.57, a personal best.��
