Prime Minister鈥檚 scholarship for Sarah Morton
Congratulations to former Northcote student and footballer Sarah Morton - who has won a Prime Minister鈥檚 Athlete Scholarship.
Sarah (Year 13, 2016) received her prestigious award from Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern recently.
The scholarships allow athletes to do tertiary study and vocational qualifications and pursue elite level sport at the same time.
The Athlete Scholarship Programme helps athletes develop holistically outside their chosen sport in ways that contribute to their post-athletic career. It is primarily aimed and fostering new sporting talent, but also helps athletes transition once their sports career ends.
