A wonderful evening of Matariki celebrations
We celebrated Matariki with a very special community event at 糖心vlog视频.
The event featured amazing performances by kapa haka groups from 糖心vlog视频 and Birkenhead College, Willow Park School, and Birkenhead Primary; a waiata from Northcote鈥檚 Lucy Lewis and Siena (accompanied by Ben Hewlett on piano) 鈥 MCd by senior students from Northcote.
The evening鈥檚 celebrations continued with a lively night market, a mahi r膩ranga flaxweaving workshop, and 鈥 of course 鈥 a wonderful 鈥榝ood court鈥 featuring hangi and offerings from a variety of food trucks.
A massive thanks to everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes to make this wonderful event happen.
